Belle Rencontre grew out of a family matchmaking practice in Kolkata. The kind that worked from a living room. Biodatas arrived by hand, and families arrived by referral.
In that practice, the matchmaker was paid on the day the wedding happened and not a day before. Months of searching, verifying and family calls rested on a single outcome: the match had to be right.
The maison is built on that same spine. The fees are now written down and the search is funded properly, but the largest fee still lands only when both families say yes.
